We took the oldest when he was 18 months, about seven months before the second was born. Five or six days from SE Mich up around Lake Superior, across Canada to Glacier. We camped at Sprague and did the usual Avalanche, Hidden, Highline, Iceberg, Grinnel Glacier. Hauled him up Oberlin, too. It was one of the good trips Wait, aren't they all?. The trip with three of them, ages six, four and eleven months, might count low in the list. Traveling was much better when they learned to read for themselves, and better again when they started driving. I'm very glad we traveled with the kids. It was good times, the times i remember first as i think back on 25 years. We have a lot of family stories from those road trips. I'm blessed to have those times.
It's been a few years now since we were all out there together, but the three kids went skiing with me out there in March.
